Hear what key local stakeholders across the UK have to say about the pharmacy campaign, and the need for NHS pharmacy services on the UEA campus.

Clive Lewis - MP for Norwich South

Clive has been a huge advocate for the return of pharmacy services in our local area. He has met with us on multiple occasions to discuss the problems facing students - particularly those with disabilities and additional needs.

Last November, Clive sent a letter to NHS England, asking them to reconsider the closure of the pharmacy at UEA. He highlighted specific concerns of those in the community. You can read about it more here, and below is the aforementioned letter.

Prof. David Maguire - Vice Chancellor of University of East Anglia

The VC has been a great support of our campaign to reopen the UEA pharmacy. We have met with the Vice Chancellor and spoke about the problems and difficulties that not having an on campus pharmacy causes. Earlier this year, David provided official comment to our petition:

The university continues to be supportive of our action and campaigning efforts on this matter.

Emma Hampton - City Councillor for University Ward Norwich

Emma has been really supportive of our work this year, especially with other projects like the nightbus. She had this to say about the resource pack we compiled...

This is a great resource for students and others in the local area who have been affected by the UEA Boots pharmacy closure

The guide below provides information about other pharmacies in the city, bus routes to get there and which stores offer late opening. Unfortunately, for too many people, these options will still be difficult and costly to access compared to campus: so we’re clear that we still want to see provision of a pharmacy at UEA.
